No. Young Adults I think is an under-appreciated genre because of the label on it, but good and bad comes in every genre.

The Road to Oz
21. What about general fiction?
Shiiit. Uhm. Memories of a Geisha is the only one I can think of that hasn't been already discussed.
22. What classic novel do you just *not* *get*?
Generally? A lot. I've read very few "Classic" because most just sounds boring as shit, and there's enough entertaining books out there I don't need to suffer throguh something cause it's "Calssic"
That said...Heart of Darkness. WTF was that bull sheet?!

The Tattooed Man by Ray Bradbury
34. Do you have a favorite short story author?
All of the above mentioned?
+++NONFICTION+++

41. How about books on mythology, fairy-tales, or other cultural stories?
Oh yeah. We use to have this awesome very cut and dry Mythology books that was amazing, had anything you could need. Specially before wikipedia it saved my life.
+++ELEMENTS OF FICTION+++
42. What's the most important element of a novel? Plot? Characterization? Style? Themes? Happy ending?
Content, obviously. Writing has to be decent, I have stopped reading things because of writing (Amelie Atwater Rhodes I could never bare). I CAN'T have a main character I don't like if the book relies on the character...and even if it doesn't it's hard. I want a satifying ending that is up...everyone doesn't have to be super super happy, but if I've ready the whole book to be fucked at the end, I'll be pissed.
43. What kind of plot interests you the most?
Urban Fantasy, paranormal...I tend to like Amazing things happening to normal people" type things.
44. What kind of characters usually appeal to you?
All sorts. It's easier to put my finger on what I dislike...which tends to be whiney bitches who don't appreciate what they have. Emotionless protagonist are hard to.
45. What is your favorite book overall?
Howl's Moving Castle or Ectasia
+++PASS IT ON+++
46. What's the last book you read?
I can't remember if it was Extras or Nightmares and Dreascapes.
47. What are you reading now?
Fragile Little Things by Neil Gaiman, and Everything Eventual and The Shining by King
48. What are you going to read next?
It and ......the other King book I have that I forgot the name of. (It's about a shop in Castle Rock that sells everything. Youko?)
49. Is there a book you would recommend to everyone on your friends list?
Good Omen's. if you haven't read it you are wrong. The end.
Terra
