I hate when people use "They had so much to live for." as a reason someone would never commit suicide.

Less morbid thought:

I hate how discussion seems to have ended on LJ. That's over the top, I know, but I've run into phrases so much like "Done thread jacking" and "Don't wanna spam up the comments..." That's what comments are FOR. To discuss. (And a lot of these have been like...REAL discussions, not like "Hi!" "Oh hi~! *Snuggle*"...although I wonder if the later is what lead to comment being discouraged in general.)

Just for reference, if you start and interesting conversation in my journal, even if it gets heated, the most I'll do is turn off comment notifications so my e-mail does spam up. Talk away.

...I have a lot of opinions on suicide stuff (considering for a time during high school, I was suicidal/had problems with self harm) A lot of them are kind of insensitive to the loved ones involved with a person in that position so (especially when it involves THAT phrase)...:\

.__.;; I'd rather talk with some one in IM where I can talk to some one rapid fire...idk It's a preference of mine. I do that with just about everyone though.

How was the Coraline movie?

Point A: It's a really generic statement really... and at the same time I kinda want to be "like what?" just to see them sputter and flail and have them be like "buh?"

I love conversations on my LJ though there doesn't seem to be that many that I get. that's probably because I don't have that many friends... lol

There is nothing wrong with suicide. While I do sympathize with the family members who are harmed by this, people seem to use the potential someone had, or their connections with others as valid reasons for that person not to kill themself. But there's the catch. That person felt strongly enough about their own suffering to just end it. Asking that person to continue living for others is selfish. I think that at the end of the day, a person ultimately lives for themself. If they choose not to do that anymore, then so be it.

That said, I would be upset if anyone on my f-list committed suicide, because they DID have the potential for a great and full life. (Anyone on my f-list that would like to contradict me, feel free. :P )

Well and...when you feel that way the things you have to live for, and the people...you convince yourself they would be better without you. So it nulls it all.

Very good!

Between me going through that, and my Grandmother (Which....ugh I hate saying this and may edit this comment later so it doesn't hurt someone unintentionally) who suicide was, in the end, probably a BETTER thing for her loved ones...yeah. And also, someone's life is ALWAYS better once it's gone :/)

I prefer that as well, but this was more like...those random conversation you get into on like....communties or whatever

Suicidal logic is scary. Mostly because if someone wanted me to convince a suicide case otherwise, I might end up agreeing with them! You have presented your case well sir! Here's the noose.
