Cosplay meme stolen off Deviantart~!
Who did you first cosplay as?
The Little Mermaid, when I was 3....
No, my mom found a Pattern for a Sailor Moon costume when I was in 7th grade, and we made it and it was awesome. I won a liter of Soda for it at the school dance. The next year I did a Princess Serenity. Considering I knew NOTHING of cosplaying, they were really well done. Halloween for all of these.
and first at a convention:
Quatre Winner, at NDK 2000.
When and where did you first cosplay?

Who is your favorite person to cosplay as?
Tsunade and Reno. They have the most recognizability, and are the most comfortable. Death is also crazy comfortable.
Who do you REALLY wanna cosplay as?
I REALLY wanna do our Kingdom Hearts. Also, both the Femme Fai and Femme Kamina. I haven't had a lot of interest lately in cosplaying the canon version of characters, as much as bringing my own spin to it.
How many of your friends cosplay?
Not ALL of them, but a good chunk. A lot casually, but most cosplay. Even my mom has cosplayed.
Have you ever walked around in public in your cosplay outfit?
Nah. I've considered wearing my Naruto jacket, but CLEARLY I don't mind advertising my geekyness (*points at tattoo*) but I feel like...it's really hard to pull of cosplaying or doing bits of cosplay in public without just looking...weird. I've seen people do it, but I don't think I could.
There have been times after/during cons or events where I'm just like "Fuck it, I'm not changing before hitting up Taco bell."
Have people in public ever recognized you and asked for photos?
Yes. I remember we totally made the DAY of a waitress at Denny's, at 3 am after a cosplay clubbing thing, when I was dressed as Chii. I imagine that can spruce up a late night Denny's shift, cause shit else is going too.
Have you ever made your own cosplay outfit?
Generally I either make or put mine together all on my own. I've never bought a pre-made one. The closest is my Teacher's vest (Cause seriously...the handmade ones probably end up costing similar to the $45 I paid, and they look just as good, and usually better then the homemade ones)
When and where did you first learn of cosplay?
Star Fest when I was like 8.
What did you think of it?
I loved them, they awed me. It was like dress up for adults.
What do you think of it now?
Pretty much the same. I take it a bit more seriously now, but on the flip side...it's dress up for adults. Anyone who takes it TOO seriously should PROBABLY step back and breath.
Where do you usually cosplay?
Cons, photoshoots, events like the New Years Eve ball, costumes parties. That sorta thing.
Have you ever done a cosplay skit on stage?
Yes. Me and Ju at Starfest sorta...acted out Jack and Sally in our walk ons, and also did a bitty sketch of her throwing me in the Oven when we did Mrs. Lovette and Sweeney Todd.
Have you ever won a prize for said skit?
We won first place for groups for Jack and Sally. We also all won an award each for our Akatsuki corset dresses at Anime Expo. And that bottle of Soda for my Sailor Moon costume :3
Do you plan your cosplay outfits waaay before you’re meant to wear them?
Sometimes. Sometime I'm like "Uhhh....so what's laying around?" Death and Bev's Ayame costume come to mind as "Shit, Shit, what's in the closet!" Costumes (But...my closet is pretty exciting)
Have you ever been to a convention and cosplayed?
Oh, just a few....like...50.
What is the best thing about cosplay?
Oh man. There's the joy of finding the perfect bit you've been searching all over for. And people stopping you for pictures, and gushing all over you. Finding things like this. (also, some not so lovely fat phobia, which is one of the less awesome things about cosplay)
What is the worst thing about cosplay?
Money. Things being uncomfortable.
Why do you cosplay?
To play dress up with the big kids and have some fun.
