I think it would be interesting to some if you maybe used your topic that you did at that convention of yaoi and yuri and het. You could expand on it and use theory (like Judith Baker) and talk about gender and sexuality... but considering the way my brain is writing an essay on this right now it might be only me that finds this stuff interesting.
