I also got Coraline, which I'm waiting till after the movie to read, The Graveyard Book and Smoke and Mirrors. Those three, and Anazi Boys, which I should get my hands on soon, and I should have read all of Neil Gaiman's BOOKS within a month or so. \o/

I'm considering redrawing this Like...it's...I can see so many mistake in it, and I also can't like...the original of that is gone. So it's by far my most favorited picture/most viewed but like...I can't make prints of it.

What dyed dreads I demand pics.

I know what you mean about movies being liked as movies and not being compared to the books they're based on, but I must admit I'm guilty of comparing them anyway. I generally only do it to books I'm a really, really big fan of, though.

In the Shining, though, I have to give props to the director for using the hedge maze as opposed to the topiaries. The topiaries were scary because you couldn't see them move, and they would have been difficult to transfer onto the screen (see: the ABC mini-series that never happened).

That... that really, REALLY sucks about your sketch books. I'm agreeing with xaefryl on this one: manga can be replaced (with enough money, which is annoying, but they can be replaced), but sketchbooks... I hope the damage wasn't too extensive.

I don't think I'm going to be able to keep the dreds (When/If I get them) dyed cause like...I think it'll dye to inconsistently.

And I compare movie/book all the time, it just...like if a bad movie deviates from it's source material it's a crime against humanity, but if a good movie does, it's never noticed.

I'm so glad the actual stanley doesn't have topiary (We're going there soon) I'd piss myself.
