I wanna punch my finical aid

So i live with my mother but as...3 people who all pay rent, not as like...me getting free rent

They keep putting me as dependent on a parent (SIGNIFICANTLY less money> Were talking like...$5000 less)

And I was like "I filled out a whole file last year to clarify this."
Them: "You need to submit canceled rent checks."
Me: "I DID that, does it need to be done yearly, or do you have the stuff on file?"
Them: "Yes."

WTFAIL YES?! It was not a yes or no question dumbass!

For this upcoming year, it's the first time I didn't have to like... make a fucking bible of information for financial aid.

If it makes you feel better, I don't even live in the SAME STATE as my parents and get (for the most part) no financial help from them and I still have to put their info on my FASFA. I've explained that to my financial aid office, but nope. I'm still a dependent until 25. Trust me I could totally use the grant money and everything, but nope. Don't get it b/c my parents make too much.

You could get legally emancipated from your parents, or some universities (like mine) have like, mad paperwork options where you basically prove you aren't supported by your parents. When you do that, your financial aid reps go in and edit your FAFSA.

They have some crazy ass qualifications though, but you could always try that.
