Oh man, I know. TAT I do some UFO-catcher type stuff, but I just don't enjoy them as much as I do the stylized chibi ones. Which are still a royal, royal pain, especially since I've just redone all the coat hardware and such on the big ones. Plus I'm revamping my coat pattern to create a deluxe version that has seaming and so on. *twitch*

I'm sorely tempted to make one of Vexen's other shields from Days, but Freeze Pride is so characteristic of him and I just don't have room for any more! I'm not sure what I'll do with the old build once I get the new ones done, LOL. I'm not particularly interested in selling it -- I doubt anyone would want to pay what I would ask for it, and I'm a bit vain when it comes to my cosplay. If I do something particularly well, then I kinda like knowing I have the best one of that thing out there. ^^;

And as long as your chakram don't look like this, you'll be good. :B

FUCK THAT WAS TTLY MY PLAN.

My old ones were made out of embroidery hoops which actually worked REALLY well...until the day they meet my suitcase and Southwest airlines.

Alas.

I wouldn't wanna sell the one you were carrying either. I actually...part of why I never got into prop making was cause I had a feeling after so much work...I wouldn't be willing to part with them.

FOILED AGAIN.

I'm always terrified about having to get my shield anywhere. Not only is it expensive ($200-250 roundtrip), I'm incredibly worried about it getting damaged. TAT

And hee, yeah. I'm not so bothered by characters that I don't cosplay, but one of the things I'm known for with that Vexen cosplay is the shield. So, if I start selling the things, then I lose that piece of individuality.

Plus I don't think many people would be willing to shell out the $600-700 they're worth, after labour.

Is it possible to ship it separate from you a bit cheaper? Like out to a friend a week or so before hand that you trust?

My signature is my boob in my Tsunade costume, so I feel like I don't have to worry about anyone else using them XD BUT I know what you mean.

You MIGHT be surprised, but....it's also not something I'd gamble on. Unless it was Sailor Moon props. Apperantly Sailor Moon fans have all the money ever.
