So this is pretty much awesome.
On the one hand, I'm like "...wut." On the other hand, if there was going to a musician who was part of a global conspiracy theory, Lady Gaga would be my pick. Just sayin.
I also...specially with the Bad Romance break down, kinda wanna be like "...dude, you aren't the only person who knows all these 'secret' codes. Did you ever thing that symbolism was there intentionally because she read/knows what it means and is intrigued by it, without being part of it?"
I dunno, conspiracy theorist seem to have a hard time realizing artist work with themes and visuals without necessarily supporting those themes and visuals. Artist draws a Nazi? Clearly they are showing secret signs to the hidden Nazi base in Antarctica. They couldn't have happened to read an article about that base and been inspired, nooooooo, they MUST know the location of it and visit ever spring.
And Lady Gaga could have never encountered the symbolism of the all seeing eye, because that is secret knowledge you only get when you join the Illuminati, and not well known information that's pretty throughly integrated into our pop culture. It's not like it's not, say, on our currency, or any place you'd run into on a daily basis.
I still wanna sorta base a character/story off the idea of a pop star brain washing the masses into the New World Order.

The article (and the whole vigilant citizens site in general) is pretty interesting.
I have my own conspiracy theories I buy into, but I have to say that theirs probably isn't one of them...

But I'm always on cracked. It is, dare I say it...my crack.
I have been reading a lot on conspiracies lately, and some I'm totally on board for. Chem Trails? Yeeeeah.
But I have an issue with a lot of them get so...tunnel visioned. It's like...they have some interesting facts, that they know are facts. But they decided those facts can ONLY mean one thing. it becomes X+Y=5 and ANYTHING that doesn't equal 5 gets ignored.
I also feel like...a lot of times like...they assume everything is negative. Where as I can see...take some of the big ones. JFK. UFOs. 9-11. I can absolutely see why they would want the public as a whole to not know all the details. Real, legitimate reasons. Human stupidity is vast, and although some are intelligent enough to "Handle" the truth...most aren't.
I think one of the comments leans well to that. It was just like "...and what is the point of them using Lady Gaga as a pawn? She doesn't appeal to anyone they would want brain washed."
Also, a lot of times, I am sorta like "...and?" I just can't be bothered to work myself up into a fury over, say JFK's assassination, which I will never have any effect on. Ever.

Haha, cracked is one of my favorite sites out there. I waste endless hours that I should spend doing other things, but goddammit, how else will I find some of this crazy shit out?
And I pretty well agree with most of your comments regarding conspiracy theories. A lot of them do seem to jump to sometimes unsupportable conclusions based on some actual facts. (The X+Y=5 stuff.) That there are common symbols in the world OMG MEANS WE'RE BEING TAKEN OVER BY EVIL SECRET SOCIETIES. Which as you said in the post... symbols exist without necessarily "belonging" to some specific group. Their use in any cultural scenario (like music) is just because they're something meaningful. Because that's what symbols are - something that has been given meaning beyond its form.
And yes, conspiracy theorists, or at least the very adamant ones, do tend to jump to the OMG EVIL GOVERNMENT/SOCIETIES/SATAN/CULTS/ALIENS/ETC very quickly, without maybe considering reasons besides ULTIMATE EVIL.
