I also really dug that he was, in fact, also Loki. BUT. Although I like the idea of bringing in other Pantheon's...I'm sorry. Kail, Odin...they could hold their own against Lucifer. Maybe not WIN but...there was some definite Western arrogance going on there. Ironically, as Kali called them out on it.

WELL. With my mom things change. And not like, drastic change. But I could be leaving Nevada now anywhere between the 3rd and the 16th.

So, I just put together that they really are going through all of the significant angels (Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Michael) and I have mixed feelings about that. Mainly because It was one of my secret religious lore obsessions and now everyone is all "Cool. It was on pretty-boy show so now it's fascinating."

Fuck that. I always knew Gabriel and Michael were pimps and I have even written my own stories about them (Not to mention a one-shot comic page about the next war between God and Satan/Lucifer that I wish I could find). Now, it's always going to be "Oh, he was the one who possessed young John Winchester blah blah blah." I like Supernatural, but not sofaras to say they can turn something so cool into a fangirl-oriented obsession. Do you get what I mean?

Angel's have always been used in pop culture things. Eva, Angel Sanctuary...and that's just off the top of my head. This isn't the first, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

I thought of Eva too, but I hardly consider that pop culture. Angel Sanctuary isn't even close to counting, and It's Supernatural that's bothering me because it's everyone's current fandom. I just feel like "fuck, I really could have been into this but at the same time don't care to catch up anymore."

So I hope that clarifies why I'm frustrated. I'm not so ignorant as to claim something like Greek mythology off bounds for creative works just because I'm interested in it, but thanks for reminding me. LOL

I wouldn't consider Supernatural much more or less popular then Eva, Supernatural is just more current.

Right, and that's what bothers me. It's something I missed the boat on and I just don't feel like getting into it anymore or at least right now. I'm guessing you girls kind of turned it into a different thing for me; NOT BLAMING YOU. I just think about pretty-boys whenever it's mentioned now and I kind of shudder. Now It has even more awesome laden within and it's all a conflicting thing. Part of me wants to be all "hell yeah!" and the other is "Great. So this is also being toyed with in girly Supernatural fan's minds..." You know, in the sense that "Wincest" and "NEEDS A HUG" and "erotically codependent" shouldn't be mixed in with my manly interests... It's CONFLICTING. Like wanting to strangle a puppy???

Kind of why I never liked CLAMP. They do try to put such a girly twist on everything and I'm... Not into that.

I haven't even watched the 5th season and I thought that was SAD ;-;
