Is anyone here in the Chicago area who could put up me and 2 or 3 friends in late May? I'm not sure if it'll happen, but we are trying to get a table at Acen. Or if you wanna split a hotel and there aren't...so many in your group that splitting it with 3-4 people will make for crazy times.

We are generally good house guests BUT we can be contained messy (In other word, if you have a guest room or something, our mess won't leave our guest room/our area, and we clean up after our selves but we have to get to the con pretty early in the morning so there's usually a little bit of suitcase explosion during the convention) and we are not always quiet...but we are polite, and fun, and DO clean up after our selves, and would love to visit outside of the con once work is over.

I'm too far from Chicago to put you guys up, but if you're around here I can come see you! <3

I am, er, 3.5 hours from Chicago?

Which is closer than Colorado, but still, not a good ACen commute distance.

I'm actually on staff there, but I barely have time to sleep due to being part of a 24x7 department... ^^;;;

Maybe we might split a room (Unless staff included one, I know it sometimes does)

A chunk of the staff rooming is Navy submarine-style "hot bunking" -- several people assigned to the room, day shifters sleep at night and night shifters sleep during day -- and I'm in one of those shared staff rooms, so unfortunately I don't think I can offer bedspace to non-staff folks in a shared staff room.

...have you ever thought about signing up for staff? XD Folks in the programming wing basically get sleeping room in exchange for 8 hours a day of watching events or panels or anime. Might be hard to overlap with an Artists Alley booth though.

It's impossible, unless I did night shift. And usually working AA we only get about 5 hours of sleep as is, between setting up early and shutting down late.

Thank you for the info though.

If you're still talking to V on a regular basis I think she's about an hour outside Chicago. Also I have a few friends there I may be able to talk to. Maybe see if they will put you up for a few days. Hell or I'll save some money and split a hotel room with you guys. I'd be able to see you for more than a few hours. -kisses-
