My New Years meme. All the cool kids are replying. Which is Sarah right now.

lj-cut text="30 facts about me. 1) I fought the law, and the law one.">

1) I am weirdly attached to things I find in second hand purchases. Papers tucked in books, things left in pockets. I had a coat with movies tickets and a photo lens I bought years ago, and I still have both somewhere.

2) I'm afraid of Submarines.

3) And aliens. But I'm also fascinated by those.

4) I believe in Paranormal things. There's too much evidence for some things to NOT be going on.

5) My favorite color is chartreuse, and I'm really particular about what color.

6) I want to go to every state in the continental US at some point.

7) I adore road trips.

8) I'd never want to live there, but I think place like Kansas and Nebraska are beautiful. To visit.

9) Halloween use to be my favorite Holiday. And I still love it a lot. But now I dress up so often it's not like jkdsfhj;dsjksdvjksdgvjdsvgjkdsjdskfjdsjkdsf COSTUMES!!

10) I intentionally write alot sometimes because of this: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html

11) I also spend way too much time on www.cracked.com

12) Stephen King is not the best author I read, but he is my favorite. I want to be BFFS with him.

13) I made up a race of little alien people that feed off of sound waves. I love them greatly, but I can't figure out anything to work them into because they are dumb. Like them, not the idea. They just sorta lay around absorbing sound waves and dancin.

14) I love having medium on me. Like paint, pastels, charcoal, whatever.

15) If I could have any power, I'd shape shift.

16) I spend a weirdly large amount of time figuring out what celebrities look like other celebrities.

17) And casting things, like books. And get emotionally invested.

19) I count people's names to see if they have 19 letters.

20) I love wearing things in my hair.

21) I've actually come to generally love my hair. I hate it as a child. I wanted long, flowing red hair.

22) The movie Lilo and Stich makes me ridiculously happy. Like, if I am in a bad mood, and watch it, I am no longer in a bad mood.

23) My eyes change color. Usually grey, but they can be blueish, greenish, and have a gold spot.

24) I deeply wonder how my life would have gone if I'd gone for science. I love it, most all forms of it. But hate math.

25) I don't regret leaving drama, ever. I'd love to be in a play here and there, but...no.

26) My dad got a bride from Russia at one point. I hated her. But I almost had two Russian step brothers name Misha and Andre.

27) I use to live out in the desert, miles from civilization. I'm glad we moved but there's something I miss, like seeing the stars literally go from horizon to horizon, and the sound of the wind, and watching storm come in from miles away.

28) I adore really weird animals. Currently: Armadillos.

29) Body mods: I have two tattoos, a nose piercing, and gauged ears. Planning more tattoos, but no more piercings, really. Maybe more ears, if the option is like...presented.

30) I snort. And stick out my tongue when I concentrate. And make the faces of what I'm drawing.

1. I feel like an archeologist at times like this. I look at the random item and wonder what its significance was.
2. If I had finished Nuke School, I would have spent 6 months at a time in a sub. I'm 6'3" and the hatchways are not. Do the math.
3. And we think you humans are fascinating, and tasty dipped in chocolate.
4. There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy. -- Hamlet
5. Sky Blue - Gotta Fly, Gotta Crow!
6. Almost done seeing em all. Alaska and some of those little bitty east coast ones left to go. Favorites so far: Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Hawaii, and California.
7. Ditto, but I like to drive.
8. Pleasant to drive thru.
9. Halloween is fun. Still want my Godzilla costume.
10. Alot doo.
11. Willy Wonka ( the real Willy, not the poser Depp or Cartoon Candy Marketing version [who looks like a cross between Dr. Who and Mr. Fantastic on acid, but I digress] or even the Family Guy parody Version, no, the one true Willy, Gene Wilder Dammit) once said, "A little nonsense now and then is cherished by the wisest men." Words to live by.
12. Brrrr. Pet Sematary. Must Run Away.
13. Bigger Aliens use them for food, like cows.
14. Brain Sploded
15. Superpower? Flight. Marvel - Cannonball - Flight, to be specific, and yah gotta be when you only get one wish.
16. Celeb-watching? Its easy since they are distinctive, kinda like Purebreed Dogs. And as equally unreal and fun to watch and pet.
17. Some web comics get me emotionally invested. Then I get into this manic-must-read-whole-thing-NOW mode. And its 2am.
18. I am trying to love others, accept their differences, and live a life some would wish to emulate. I fail often, but I keep trying. I think that matters more.
19. Lawrence H. Brown or lbrown-amigoid ...Whats the significance of 19 characters?

the rest....

20. Anything in my hair is a distraction. I often wonder how it would be to be bald.
21. Long Flowing Hair is an icon of femininity and I greatly admire it, although I like Chloe's shorter cut in Smallville.
22. I found the Lilo & Stitch music video for Falling in Love, ripped the sound clip, and have the MP3 in my playlist. My son once performed a freestyle dance routine at the school talent show to that song.
(When my sons were younger, they would ALWAYS get up and dance at the end of the movies in front of the theater, while the credits ran. I watched, but I was dancing inside with them.)
23. My eyes stay blue, but change in intensity, or so I've been told.
24. I like time travel, and I am conforted by the concept of infinite possibilities. I wonder what those many roads would have led to, but like Robert Frost's road not taken, I accept the path I am on and try to make it as good an alternative choice as I can. So many choices made, so many differences resulting, to go back and do it differently would mean lives I would not have saved, hearts I would not have touched, and lives I would not have created/shaped. To have total recall and a do-over, now, there would be a challenge indeed. Worthy of a novel.
25. I've opted to make drama a hobby. I've performed in community theater and large church productions, from 'Jimmy Perry the elevator operator' and key witness in "You, the Jury" when I was a teenager, to 'Pastor Philbert J. Newberry' the illiterate con artist in "Christmas in Beacon Cove" the lead role in a large mega-church musical. Its too fun to ever completely give up and what are Cosplay and Nan-Desu-con, but inprov stages for drama?
26. "Almost"? I've idly wondered what finding a bride from another country/culture would be like. See #24... My Dad died in a tragic accident when I was 15. I wonder how many things in my life changed as a result, how many could have been the same ahd he not died, and what he would think of what I've done. I believe one day I will know all these answers.
27. I can relate but on a different scene. On board a ship far out at sea, with clear skies, with a night with no moon. 3 different possibilities, a sky exploding with truly infinite stars. Or a full moon, so bright you almost have to squint to look at it, and so many details you never can make out normally.
Or a cloudy night at sea, where your eyes strain to see anything, but all around you is complete darkness. So dark, you can not see your hand, and you know how a blind man must feel.
28. I've touched a Moray Eel with my bare hand. I have had my hand enveloped by a curious playful octopus, and I have given a Manatee a backrub. I like sea creatures. Don't get me started on Dolphins, Orcas and Whales...
29. Tattoos/Piercings - Not my thing at all. Prefer cybernetic implants. Still waiting for my internet uplink.
30. Much like Robin Williams, I often use different voices as the mood hits me. I frown more than nessasary.
