I'd be bummed that I couldn't make it to a NY wedding (probably) but I think it's a beautiful idea. Lots of people have two ceremonies anyway, for different families - you can always do a woowoo hippie lesbian mountain standiing-in-a-stream-naked with a shaman thing when you get back! =D
