6 places

6-The Mojave. I lived the beginning of my childhood there, and it is still, in many ways, "home".
5- Central Park. I have only been once but if you somehow missed it, I adored it. I wanna be able to spend hours and hour there.
4- My home. I love our apartment, I love my roommates, I love it here. I love that this is a home, not a house. I just am very happy here.
3- Kansas. I really love driving across Kansas. I love how open it is, and how it is all sky. I love the big wind farms, and when the sunflowers are in bloom, and how many cows there are. I don't think I could live there, but I love going through it.
2- Disneyland. I...really love going to Disneyland. Weird, I know, most people freakin' hate that place.
1-The Ocean. I know, I just went on about how much it terrifies me. It is...a love hate thing. It is beautiful, and awe inspiring, and I love the textures, and the smells and everything.
I also just am terrified of everything in it and being abandoned in the middle of it.
But god is it beautiful. La Jolla is my favorite beach I have been to, but I also loved Santa Monica, and the Caribbean ocean. But La Jolla has so many happy memories.
I know this is two in one day. I don't foresee a lot of computer time tomorrow with HARRY FUCKIN' POTTER DOUBLE SHOWING. *cough*
But if I do well, then..I broke the rules.

6. I know the desert is nice, but its not for me. I would prefer a wilderness adventure in the Rockies. There is a 99% greater chance that my desktop has a beach scene than a desert.
5. Never been, will make a point to see it. Some of the parks in San Francisco are pretty big and cool.
4. (Sniff) I has a sad. I move to my new home on my 28th wedding anniversary. Fortunately my best friend Bobby Moore will be here from Oklahoma to help me. Navy life helps me adapt and compartmentalize in my mind.
3. I have driven to Oklahome twice for my friend Bobby, when his Dad, then Mom died. I was his best man, and we were BFF in High School. I'm heading out there again soon for my 30th Class Reunion. I took my son on the road trip and he also loved going through Kansas, and he adores the country life in Oklahoma. Hey its home for me too.
2. Been there and also took the family to Disney World this year. I love the place too. I love the technology, and I love the simple magic.
1. Cue James Horner & Co. - "Hymn to the Sea" Or Commodores - "Cool Change" I spent 4 years in the Navy and a year at sea. I would not trade that time for a million dollars. Imagine a cloudless night with no lights other than the BILLIONS OF STARS OMG! Nothing I have seen ashore compares with the staggering number of stars that can be seen on a clear moonless night at sea. Or imagine a overcast moonless night, and you can truly imagine what being blind would be. You can hear/smell/sense the sea all around you, but there is NO light. I love taking cruises. I love the ocean. A beach house aka Tony Stark would fit the bill for me.
0. Grand Lake, Green Beacon Shallows, Oklahoma. My quiet place of zen.
