Two con things~
One- It's looking like Anizona is going to be canceled (Which isn't a huger shocker....) BUT Studio faeX needs a con to work.
So does anybody know a moderately sized convention with a pretty good, affordable Artist Alley? I'd prefer closer to Denver, but really, I don't think there's any in a driving radius, and if I have to fly anyway...If it's in a place where I, and possibly a few other friend can stay with someone or split a room, it's even better.
Two-I'm trying to think of costumes for the Sci-fi convention. I need something that's not too small a niche (like anime), and unique (Our Jack and Sally one first place in group, a FULL Space balls group one first place all together) Things like "Pirates" and "Storm troopers" are too common.
So my idea's thus far are:
The Silent Hill nurses, but only if we could learn to do the thriller dance for a skit.
Oz characters. I'm imagining this set would be cross breed with Wicked, but like...I wanna be Ozma click for pic, I think Ju'd make an amazing Polychrom, we could have Glinda, Dorthy, etc.
Greek gods/figures. I just dunno if I have the money to make those as awesome as they could be.
Feed back? New ideas?
