Sweet jesus I hope that's all.

I finished Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, now I can watch the TV mini-serise I bought. Althought I have a feeling the mini-serise is a perfect example of something staying TOO close to canon, from what I watched.

And they have like...no other world looks to the otherworldly characters. Which wouldn't bother me so much if it wouldn't have been relatively easy. Like how hard would it have been to dye door's hair bright red and tease it out And have her looking less like Death, k thnx. WRONG NEIL GAIMAN SERIES GUYS.

...I'm done with min rant :D

I heart Neverwhere. :D

And, actually, the series happened before the book. ... I think. I think it was series, book, graphic novel.

Or perhaps I lie.

The point is, Neverwhere rocks my face off. I heart Door. And Hunter.

I stand corrected. But I still like the idea of the more fantasy appearances better. And I also ttly saw the Marquise as this guy:

But yeah, I liked it a lot. Now I wanna get those graphic novels....and finish my picture for it cause it's very epic :D

Marquuuuuuuuis... heart him, too.

You're right, though. That picture does fit him perfectly, for whatever reason.

He looks awesome in the graphic novel. Like, seriously, seriously awesome.

Do you have any pics from the GNs?

[identity profile] sita-face.livejournal.com 2008-01-17 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
I surely don't. I don't own the GN; it's actually my boyfriend's. I borrowed it from him to read, but he took it with him when he moved to Atlanta.

But, in the GN, he's black, but not like a skin color. It's like he's the color of a silhouette with white eyes shining out at you.

He's badass.

That was kinda more the idea I had. A "dark" color, without being a real skin color.

There's a mini-series for Neverwhere? o.o Why didn't I know about this?!

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-01-11 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
It was done by the BBC, A&E relased it here, and as I recently learned, it came out before the book. But I like the book better thus far.

Hrmmmm... I may look into it then. BBC usually does a pretty good job on stuff like that.

I've watched one episodes, and it has it's ups and downs but I LOVE the actors for the Marquis. Not so much his hair, but he's awesome.
