Why is that fucktard wearing a parrot costume?

I'm having WAY too much fun drawing anthro-pokemon yuri.

Like...WAY too much fun. And if anyone's mind was in the gutter, no. Not THAT much.

(Also, what's with the mad fangirling of YuGiOh and Digimon? What is it about those animes?)

Also, Alex, I am enjoying this movie (Gravedancer), but nothing with a giant ghost skull head butting a hummer is uhm...SCARY per see. This movie REALLY needed a bigger budget. Also, the guys accent...wtf. I did enjoy that the end wasn't entierly BS and they you know...did the logical thing.

GAH I need to finish my paper...D:

Also, we've been working through Kingdom Hospital and I went to look up Riget (The danish original), and found this:

A significant difference in the American series was the introduction of the character of a talking giant anteater in the role of spirit guide/death/Anubis/Antibus.

WTF?! Who sits there and goes "This is good...but it could use more GIANT TALKING ANTEATER."

You're a sick person.

You'd love me dressed as a mudkip and you know it.

[identity profile] bloodsorrow.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
or SEAKING FUCK YEAH

But i like digimon o.o

[identity profile] shinraisei.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Digimon was like, the staple of my childhood and in retrospect, one of the better dubbed "kids"[to adults] anime out there back in the glory days of Saturday Morning cartoons and Fox Kids.

Plus, it's got social commentary :o

are there people on F!S right now talking about digimon? :O

Also, it's almost been 10 years since the first episode aired in Japan and North America (and possibly Europe too...and South American) so maybe that,s why there's a mini "furor" over it right now by fans who've grown up D:

Re: But i like digimon o.o

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
It's not that people enjoy them. It's that they seem to be the ones who get the people going "OMG THIS IS THE BEST SHOW EVER SIT DOWN AND WATCH IT NOW!"

And this isn't a F!S thing it's like...IRL. They just seem to be the ones I run into like...not just FANS of at the age of you know...23, but like...psycho obsessed fans who think it's god gift to anime. (Granted none of the girls I was doing art for, which is what got me thinking about it, seemed like that, but I've run into quiet a few)

And I have to say the dub I was watching was horrid....from a dub fan. But I ttly buy it was good for that time (When dubs were...not so good)

[identity profile] donotttrust.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
I recommended Grave Dancers to you because it was the best story out of all of them, and did a lot more with such a small budget...but yeah the field goal/touchdown move at the end kills any pathos the movie had lol. But some of the ghost stuff in the early parts of the movie scared me. Especially the little pyro kid.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno it was all too...cheesey for me, special effect wise. It did have a pretty good story, and like we were saying the wife was pretty kick ass, but yeah...the giant head butting skull....no. The rapist torture guy in the light was creepish.

[identity profile] donotttrust.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
To me, the scariest out of all of them was The Abandoned. Others that weren't necessarily scary, but I enjoyed was Mulberry Street, the Hamiltons, and The Many Deaths of Ian Stone.

Beware though, ALOT of the Horrorfest stuff just flat out sucks and has no redeeming value whatsoever. Like Dark Ride or Wicked Little Things.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
What is that about? The Hamilton's seemed yuck.

I hate that a lot of asian horror looks good but I KNOW reading subtitles would kill horror for me.

[identity profile] fufuberrysoda.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 09:51 am (UTC)(link)
I TOLD YOU THAT MOVIE WAS AMAZING UNTIL THE ENDING.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-07 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
The VERY end saved it, but...yeah coulda been amazing with a bigger budget.

[identity profile] fufuberrysoda.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
TRUFAX: Not fond of SUPER-BUDGET!movies. Basically, horrorfest flicks were movies that were going to go straight to video, so that's why.

ALSO TRUFAX: Foreign!doctor was hot.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
He cracked me up.

It makes me sad most Horror movies act like they don't have to be good. :(

Also, have you seen Kingdom Hospital?

[identity profile] fufuberrysoda.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
I have a thing for old guys with accents. My mother is convinced that I will marry a rich foreign old guy. x3

Yeah. But hey. There's always Jacob's Ladder. I bawww to it all the time.

I saw it. I like how it looks visually but the anteater thing just... Idk. To this day, I'm not sure if I like that mini-series or dislike it.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
I hear Italy's nice :D

I might check that out, what's it about?

I ADORE the begining (It does not computer that that music comes from the same mind that made "Stacey's mom".) And there are parts that get me going Bwuh. But generally I like. YOu might like the Danish version, I hear it lacks Anteater. It's also all in Speia apperently which sounds intresting.

[identity profile] fufuberrysoda.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I lol'd.

It's about a Vietnam vet. Basically, he's having hallucinations due to... shit. If I said much more than that, it'd give a lot away. But simply put? It's one of Silent Hill's greatest inspirations. It's a classic and has Tim Robbins in it. It's a movie where you're not sure if what you're seeing is what the character is seeing or if anything in it is real. It's really good.

Oh, me too! Lulz. Wut. That's weird that they would just cut it out. But I think that visually it's very pleasing. And I have that book? Diary of Ellen Druse, I think. It was written by Stephen King as an in-character companion to the series. I should really read it @__@;

Have you seen Rose Red? That's my favourite more recent one of his *has it on DVD* Otherwise, I'm a sucker for both old and new versions of Salem's Lot.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
I'll check it out.

The Danish version came first, Stephen king just really liked it. I REALLY would like to ask him, of all thing...WHY a giant ant eater? (Though when's he's paul...hot)

We've been eye rose red. I'll try to talk them into it next movie night (The length has been the retrench.)

[identity profile] fufuberrysoda.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's really very good, especially if you're not into really gory horror. It could be considered psychological thriller/drama if it didn't have freaky-ass demons and stuff in it.

...how do you know these things ?___? Well, at least anteaters are cute. *likes weird animals like that*

Yeah, it's pretty long. V. typical haunted house film, but still v. enjoyable. My sister and I quote it regularly. My mother hates it, because we'll look at each other, snicker and be like SISTER, I GOT BABY or HEY, ARE WE GOIN' FOR A RIDE IN MOMMY'S LITTLE SCOOT-ABOUT?? or EMMMMERRRRRYYYY!!!! just random stupid things that shouldn't be as funny as we think they are.

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-08 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm very much NOT into Gory horror so it sounds like a good match.

I'm a slave to Wikipedia.

Those are the best ones. And I generally like haunted house stories, so....

[identity profile] fufuberrysoda.livejournal.com 2008-04-09 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
I... not-so-secretly like that kinda stuff. I mean, I cover my eyes through half of it, but I enjoy every minute of it!

Me, too. And dictionary.com. x3

Me, too. I know they can be repetitive and usually aren't all that different from each other, but... they just tend to be enjoyable for me. :3

[identity profile] penguinfaery.livejournal.com 2008-04-09 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
XD Not my thing...I don't mind gore being there but like...Saw? Ugh.

I think...IDK. I like haunted houses IRL too.
