I went to see the Midnight showing of Indiana Jones last night. It was...uhm. Hmmm.

I love Indiana Jones.

I love aliens.

I don't know how the two could go together so wrongly. I was just like "...wait, what? Was that just Indiana Jones having a close encounter?"

Don't get me wrong, the movie was fun, but...

The acting and/or directing was very...blah. Since I know Cate Blanchette and Harrison Ford are very good actors, and Star Wars 1-3 had the same issue, I'm layin the blame on Lucas. It didn't have the same spark of camp the old ones did, that quirk where you're going "This is so ridiculous but it's oh so much FUN!" Not continuously at least.

There was also a high level of ridiculous. Like past being able to go "But it's Indiana Jones! He's amazing!" to just being like "Did Shia Leboeuf just go Tarzan on us?"

But in the end, if you can suspend your disbelief, it is fun. (And, form a paranormal POV, I'd like to point out about 85-90% of the about the Crystal Skulls is real legend, or fact, like the Nazca lines and stuff)

I apologize for messing up any actors names.
