it's the end of the world as we know it, and I don't in fact feel fine.
Saw The Happening. As most film by M Night, it was very well done, put your emotions through a roller coaster. But I don't think I'll see it again. Possibly ever. It was just....TOO disturbing. Like...it wasn't scary so much, or gross, but some of those images will stay with me for like...the rest of my life.
It just reaffirmed that at some point, probably not in THIS way, but somehow, we will do something to this planet that will fuck things up to a point that will cause a huge loss of life and be irreversible (Or, close enough that to do as such will be...very hard)
And I hate that feeling. I hate that it's as good as fact. And I hate that really, in this case as a single person there's very little I can do. Unless I end up being like...the mis-raised anti-Christ.
But I had such buckets of funs with the girls. And got a bunch of work done on art (like...work art and fun art) so felt very proud of myself~! And Friday the 13th (The first one) was better then I expected.

But probability and this planet's past experiences say otherwise. Humanity will die if we don't find a way off this planet and out of this solar system. It isn't a matter of if, it is a matter of when.
The planet, is in a state of constant metamorphosis and there isn't a thing we can do about it. While, we can affect it in the short term, this planet will outlast us like it has outlasted every single organism ever created here.
Consider for a moment that that humans have only been around for maybe a few million years...at best. The dinosaurs lasted for hundreds of millions of years and several different world climates and what took them out what an extinction event that even if we spotted today we couldn't stop.
Global warming is still up for debate, and while we can effect local climates, there is no concrete evidence that we can affect a global climate change. And furthermore, the climate isn't a stagnant thing. It's ever-changing, and if we end up discovering that the climate is changing and we didn't do it, there's no real way to stop the change.
Basically what I'm babbling on about is that don't worry about it. If you sat there worrying about the hundreds of thousands of various ways we could die as species, you'd probably have a nervous breakdown.

"BY KILLING THE ENVIRONMENT YOU'RE KILLING YOURSELVES. BY KILLING THE ENVIRONMENT YOU'RE KILLING YOURSELVES."
Thanks, M. Night. We got it.
And I'm sorry, but that old lady was hilarious.
"I want to kill myself, but I don't have a tool to help me do that. I know. I'll just bang my head on shit until I stop existing. Sweet!"
