Dyeing my hair black (for my impromptu Kotetsu cosplay) makes me think of my grandmother. I guess she was very obsessed with having her hair black (As oppose to dark brown) and whenever I, or Josh, dyes our hair black, we look like her.

I wish I'd meet her. There are something I admire about her: She was a usually single mother who raised three kids, her first coming when she was still in HS, and the second two quickly afterwards. She still made it through college to become a special education teacher. She was brillant and VERY beautiful (She looked like Elizabeth Taylor)

She was also an alcoholic who was horribly abusive both mentally and physically who killed herself when my mom was 11 because she'd lost her teaching license from a DUI. Even though I wasn't even a twinkle in my mothers eye, it shaped my family in so many ways and my cousins.

I wish I could have meet her.I don't know how I'd feel about her, the diffrence between the "Monster" and "mommy", but she's probably the one person I'd most like to meet who's dead just to.,..you know, know?

Bah, done being deep and reflective.

What brand of dye do you use?

This was "Beyond the Zone Radical black Demi-permenate dye" so it'll probably be goine by the end of NDK, but hopefully it'll stay till friday.

I also have large red patches too XD

I've tried a couple different brands of "Regular" black dye and none have stuck.Manic Panic washed out right then.

Black is near impossible to get right with semi-perminants, unfortunately.

It simply didn't have enough dye to cover all my hair. But as both semi and regular are gonna wash out in a week, I figured might as well get the one meant to wash out XD

I really like it though, so I might shell out the money to hit up pickens and get it done for real.
