Writer's Block: News development

Like...there were a lot I knew about, eventually. I wasn't unaware, I just....don't have vivid memories of finding things out... But the first one I remember distinctly hearing about on my own was Columbine.

It's really vivid because...it wasn't a news story about Columbine. I got sick at school (which I did a lot), and my mom was picking me up. On the way home 93.3 had a traffic report, and was like "Avoid this area in Lakewood, there's something going on at Columbine High School, and they have the roads all blocked up."

Anyway.

I have super enjoyed Kiona being here. We have no really been "doing" things, but just...chilling and enjoying being around each other. Working our way through Supernatural.

I am sooo tired though wtf.

Also, saw Shutter Island. Holy Shit it was depressing D:

Hmm... That was my first too. I wasn't even phased. I was a bitter child back then... Had a lot of issues in my own family life.

I remember my second: 9-11. My mom got me up for school and was on the phone and watching TV, pacing through the living room. I asked her what had happened and she told me a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center, whatever that was. I promptly asked her: "Can I stay home from school?" Yes, it was the Calvin inside of me, but I also thought it was an accident so I wasn't worried or anything. Actually, I never was worried, even when I found out what really happened later on.

Then Falcon in his space balloon. JK. What a joke.

I was at school before I heard about 9-11. I remember my best friend's big sister in the hall being like "Turn on the TV I wanna hear about what happened to the people in the plane!"

My mom came and got me from school that day.

Oh Columbine. :|
Being 5/6 really didn't do much for me. I just remember my elementary school locking us in and having parents come get us.

I LOVED SHUTTER ISLAND.
