So we went to see Paranormal Activity 2.

I have to say...the first one...didn't impress me. And I wanted it to A LOT. Because I LOVE how subtle it was, how the scary was from what it DIDN'T show, and the subject matter. And if has a lot of things that it ID do well (Subtly and realism for example).

But at the end I was like "...that's it?" It felt badly paced, and like it missed a lot of chance for pushing it more, and it couldn't really figure out what it was doing.

But I heard that the second was better and...I was not disappointed. Holy shit. I actually outright screamed at point, feet up off the ground, nails digging into Ju and Bev's hands, all that. I really, really recommend it.

HOWEVER I also recommend going to a showing that's not...going to be busy. Holy SHIT I have never dealt with so much douchbaggery in a theater (Did you really need to scream "Where is the sister?!" 7 times 7. Really. Really. I don't even know how you got that out 7 times before it was irrelevant)

We actually got free tickets to another movie cause I was just like "...this shit isn't flying." And Harkin's gets like...a billion gold stars for being super cool about it.

This is going to sound incredibly wimpy, but the first one totally triggered my PTSD. Which sucks, because I really enjoyed it otherwise. But it was bad, it affected me for a while, just brought up some stuff somehow in my brain. D:

So I'm bummed I can't watch the second one. But no. :< MAYBE ONE DAY!!

What parts freaked you out? (And that does make sense.I'm just wondering, if there was a particular trigger, there are very diffrent scares in this movie)

I think the worst part was when it grabs her out of the bed and drags her down the hall. D: That was NOT. OKAY. ;-;

...yeah, don't go. Like...if that freaked you out this would be BAD. Like...I think it's trigger it worse.

I really wanted to see the first one, but it was divided between people saying UTTERLY AWESOME or UTTERLY SHIT. Then most my friends were saying it was the latter; I found out about the end and just ehhh. My sister saw the sequel the other day and because she was currently home alone afterward, she ended up staying at my place because she was too afraid hahaha.

I would say....get the first one, watch it, then go see the second one immediately. Because...not all but a lot of what ticked me off was that they....tried to explain what was going on, but like...didn't quite make it, and so there was a whole bunch of extra shit that they never explained, but also didn't need to put it...and the second one explains it all fine.

You also could watch them in the opposite order, or just watch the second. They are tied together, but also enjoyable apart (You will just lose one "OH snap!" moment when watching the new one, because the two movie happen at the same time-ish, and there's a part in 2 that directly correlates with 1 that won't make sense if you don't watch 1.But all you really NEED to know is that Katie and Mika are the couple in 1)

If it was enough to surprise even you, then there's no way I could ever see it. The only character I could successfully play in Supernatural is one of the civilians screaming SAVE ME SAVE ME xD.
