Oct. 31st, 2011 01:33 amSo Halloween has been ridiculously good so far. I usually get really disappointed because my hopes get up so high and this year...has lived up to them awesomely.
Friday we had an awesome party. Tons of people showed up, but we had plenty of food and drink. And even with 40ish people, most of them drunk, we avoided any...anything. No drama, no destroyed property. We lost a $1 walmart bowl. And it was tons of fun and just...awesome.
Last night I went to
table_chans concert with the local LGBT band. It was awesome. They had skits, and dancer, and a hilarious drag queen MC. I went with my mama, and we danced the whole night (It was also a dance and sing along. And they taught us the Thriller.)
Then tonight, we went to go see the new The Thing. I watched the old The Thing like...a week ago and really loved it. This was...ok. Not a waste of money or time, but where as the original was a movie about paranoia and isolation, with a dose of freaky ass monsters, this one was...an ok horror movie with a bunch of mediocre monsters (Except the one based on the first movie) and some big plot holes. But it was fun.
AND I have worn a different costume every day. Sailor, cow, Clara Bow, and an alien. I dunno what will be tomorrow. And adventure! We are going to a Haunted corn maze.
And here is me and Be at the party and I love this picture~

We ended up being what me and Ju were last year, except with me as the Sailor, but these costumes are a lot cuter. Be looks much better in that dress then I did, and I love that sailor costume. Except you can see my whoooole butt so I had to get ruffled short to go under it. I like that skirt, but I may keep an eye out for another (It is also one size fits all. And it FITS. But not comfortably.)

Oct. 23rd, 2010 10:49 pmSo we went to see Paranormal Activity 2.
I have to say...the first one...didn't impress me. And I wanted it to A LOT. Because I LOVE how subtle it was, how the scary was from what it DIDN'T show, and the subject matter. And if has a lot of things that it ID do well (Subtly and realism for example).
But at the end I was like "...that's it?" It felt badly paced, and like it missed a lot of chance for pushing it more, and it couldn't really figure out what it was doing.
But I heard that the second was better and...I was not disappointed. Holy shit. I actually outright screamed at point, feet up off the ground, nails digging into Ju and Bev's hands, all that. I really, really recommend it.
HOWEVER I also recommend going to a showing that's not...going to be busy. Holy SHIT I have never dealt with so much douchbaggery in a theater (Did you really need to scream "Where is the sister?!" 7 times 7. Really. Really. I don't even know how you got that out 7 times before it was irrelevant)
We actually got free tickets to another movie cause I was just like "...this shit isn't flying." And Harkin's gets like...a billion gold stars for being super cool about it.

Oct. 14th, 2009 07:55 pmOMG.
So.
Dear people who make cheap mass produced kid's Halloween costumes,
PINHEAD IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE CHARACTER FOR A 7 YEARS OLD TO BE DRESSING AS.
PINHEAD IS A SEX DEMON.
A. SEX. DEMON.
LMAO,
me.
P.S. I will be waiting with bated breath for your child sized Pyramid Head costume.
In other news, my ghost costume is going to be frigging sweet.
And, blast from the past:
Has anyone ever stopped back to think how WEIRD a cartoon Tail Spins was? Like who was like "You know what 90s kids will love? If we take the character from a book/movie way before their time, and cast them as a 30's era airplane cargo crew."
Like...wtf.
Shit was awesome though.
And me and Bev are going to see District 9.

Nov. 2nd, 2008 11:44 pmSO Halloween was cool. Went to Cheeseman (i.e the super haunted park) but this time the only oddness was a very sudden cold spot, which this dog kept barking at.
Then came home and played rockband and watched parts of a bunch of scary movies. Syd was a fucking adorable bee.
No picture tho. D:
Annnnd I had a bunch more to post with. But eh.
Me and Preston were talking about Nanowrimo (Which I think I already gave up on. Go me.) Which he is pretty against. And like...I didn't understand at first because I'm not around these people anymore, but he reminded me...all the people who devote their month and think they're going to come out with some epic piece of writing. And yeah, they use to piss me off too.
No. You're missing the point. Nanowrimo isn't to write something GOOD. It's to learn to let of the fear of failure. To learn to finish something. Not to write the next great novel. At best you should end up with a first draft. If you end up with something GOOD you are a freak of writing nature. Nanowrimo is all about quantity, fuck quality. It's a GREAT thing, a great exercise, but it's also that. An exercise.
I bet Twilight started as a Nanowrimo novel XD
Oh and my belly dancing DVD rocked but I hurt D:
