THE TIME CAPSULE MEME

Leave me messages to open in a year.

Me:HOLY SHIT UNEXPLAINED MYSTERIES THANK YOU FOR THE HEART ATTACK
Ju:Was it a grey?
Ju:Or a submarine?
Ju:Or a grey in a submarine?
Me:fuck
Me:aliens on submarines
Ju:Would you pretty much just straight up pee yourself at that point?
Me:my life would fucking end.

Sorry, but if I was an alien, and I wanted the fleshies to leave me alone, the ocean would be THE place to park my ship(s) I mean, really... A FTL capable starship should be able to handle a few atmospheres of external pressure, and since so few of you humans have any extra-sensory awareness, I'd just have to stay deep enough to stay out of visual range, and set up a cloak for the sonar systems. And if you bump into me, you'll just blame the missing sub on a reactor malfunction or something, and by the time you get anything down here, I'll have moved. Lotsa -space- to hide, yaknow, so long as I stay away from certain shores.

Then I can chat with the dolphins without being hassled, since I like hanging with them more anyway. So, no worries, unless you piss off the dolphins enough for them to ask me to deal with you shaved monkeys.

You know, I feel for you with the submarine thing. I can totally handle airplanes, though once you hit the ten hour mark. those last 3.5 hours really start to drag and I'm counting every minute, all jittery. And yet, I've always really wanted to go into space! But wouldn't I be just as scared as a submarine? For that matter, it would be totally cool to explore the ocean and chill with whales, if I could just manage to forget that I'm beneath tons of water that could crush me.
