Women's Studies: Is going to be easy. It's pretty much like "...show up if you want. Do some work, if you want."

Also, I need to write a paper on a book, movie, or TV episode.

I think I'm gonna pounce on Sex and Violence, the siren episode of Supernatural. Heh.

And the head of the Women's studies department invited me to display there again, and was trying to talk me into a gender or women's studies major.

Art and theory: My teacher used the term truthiness and called Thomas Kinkade a hack. As it should be.

He is every liberal, opinionated college professor stereotype.

I like him all ready.

Drawing 4: For some reason Sandy super intimidated me. IDK why. She's pretty cool. And all my project are all ready laid out. I'm doing an animation based on "Teeth" by Lady Gaga and then a short sequential piece on body image.

Also my class is 9 people, and 8 of us are from Drawing 3. It's awesome.

German: Sure is German. The Julia in my high school German class is in the class, ironically. AND BEV. Oh man I love going to school with Bev.

And so like...you know how you rarely run into people you know in college? I ran into like...20 people I knew today.

This may be the best impromtu rp ever.

And Manda is a better Riley then she has any right to be.

So I just read a bunch of the comment in RP!S and responded to more then I should have as I have nothing to do with this but some of the fail in there was just mind blowing.

For those that don't keep up on RP drama, an rper passed, unexpectedly, and her friend have been posting in a few RP related comms about it, including RP!S (Which is notoriously wank and anon tastic)

Two things occurred to me:

One about victim blaming that I think gets ignored. Victim blaming is something that, for obvious reasons sits badly with me, but I also hate how our society can push it to the point of not taking any responsibility at all for yourself, and if anyone points it out, they get yelled at for blaming the victim. (And I think that is a rare circumstance, not the norm)

And I think what gets lost is the idea that having a part in what happened=/=being responsible for what happened. Yeah, posting a mourning secret in something that has become an LJ RP specific 4chan type niche is not necessarily the best move....but that doesn't compare at all the horrid comments. That doesn't make them excusable. And it bothered me that somewhere people lost the ability to draw the line between "Yeah, this was a bad idea." and "This is all their fault, they were asking for it." And a comment to the later doesn't make you ALL that much better then the anons. Because I'm sure who ever posted that comment probably figured out that it was a bad idea the first nasty anon comment they got, and blaming them for grieving "wrong" over and over again? Is tackier then them posting it.

Way Tackier.

The second...how to we mourn online friends who pass?

Mourning is hard, but when you only know someone as words on a screen? Specially if it's the online equivalent of a "good" friend and not a "best" friend. It's not really socially acceptable to go to their funeral, IMO. Your friends and family in real life probably won't "get" it. Posting about it online too much, or in the "wrong" place, clearly, get you labelled as tacky and disrespectful (And although I do agree there are places that are hands down tacky, like say....4chan, there's also a lot of gray area. Is a Myspace memorial tacky? A facebook group? My gut reaction is to say the later isn't and the former is, and I have no logical reason for that. No standards)

We're taught not to mourn in public, but online relationships really are primarily public. Even private journals are us and our 100 closest acquaintances, you know? It's not true with most of my friends lists, but I know I have people on here that, if our relationship was a "real life" equivalent of out online was....it'd be really weird to tell them half the things I say on here. And that's just if I flock things.

I dunno. I really have no answers and this post got WAY long. But it all just got me thinking.

So at toshima_rp I play Tally from Uglies, and she has a really odd speech pattern. Thing are "Bubbly making" or "Bogus causing" and stuff like that.

All characters and all AU versions are allowed. We don't care about OCs. If you make a nice interesting one, that's great. If you make a boring sue to pair with character X, and nobody wants anything to do with them, don't get all butt hurt. Some people here will avoid 'em, some will embrace 'em, play 'em at your own risk.

You can use any setting you want in the rp. Character ends up in a empty room? Awesome. Victorian England? Awesome. Sex change? Knock yourself out. Have fun.

You can totally bring plot here from rps that died or otherwise copped out on you, just again make sure you're clear on wtf's going on for others who may wanna play.

You can either make a journal for this rp and play multiple character from it, or use multiple journals you have laying around. Just make sure you keep it clear who you're playing at the time with icons or whatever.

SO I REALLY enjoyed the ren faire.

And I'm going to save up and get one of those kick ASS pirate captain coat's for my pirate Tsunade costume.Which i will NOT be putting an iron on patch on the back of.

But the costumes we're awesome, I love how chill and flirty everyone was (Everyone), and so much gorgeous (SARAH! You count :3)

And next year/year after we're doing Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy/femme!Joker renissance faire themed costumes, and girls Naruto/Sasuke/Sai (And I'm ttly gonna paint Henna all over Ju's tummy for girly Sai)

And I got some cool stuff. And me and Cake (And maybe bev) are gonna go take picture in my Harley costume tomorrow. Everyone being all "HOMG BATMAN" has gotten me very Harley-tastic.

And I'm tired. And I'm gonna punt my mom soon cause I'm REALLY getting tired of her constantly being a bitch. Like to the point I've been hiding out in my room so as not to get needlessly snarked at. Ugh.

And I watched the Dreamcatcher movie. Which I'll probably throw up a review of. But BEAVER D: (I haven't been able to read past the page I'm on because of him). I kinda wanna rp him somewhere. Unfortunately fuckmefreddy is a taken username.

Oh, and I got one of those bell chime anklets. I wonder how long till someone kills me for tapping my heel.

This is so much less awesome if you don't know the Dane Cook sketch about being raised by 80 billion sisters. But, btw they're those clear plastic shoes. Mine have rainbow glitter in em. :3

AND I finished all the necessary bits of my Speed Racer costumes :D I still need the cursive G, and the red tights for my Sexy no Speedy, but those are not necessary bits.

And I also bought enough clorox to sanities my whole neighborhood. And various other cleaning supplies to prepare for the Manda/Alex fun times.

And I forgot how frigging much I love Lifehouse.

And I wanna rp Kyo, Kizuna and Issan (AKA Team AWESOME. They don't even have a number.) with Bev and Ju somewhere, but their mary sue tastic back story would kill it. The problem when you have crack characters XD
