Dec. 6th, 2009 12:24 amSo we're watching Repo the genetic opera, for the first time.
Thus far I don't regret not jumping on this band wagon. Like...the visuals are pretty sweet, but h god the music is so bad. Like...I'm only a few songs so I hope it gets better, but shiiit I'm not even a musical snob and oh god. And I don't understand how half the actors are good and half are horrible. There has, thus far, been no inbetween.
But the visuals are awesome.Even if Ju did hit it on the head when she was like "Let's put everything cutting edge and cool in a movie!"
I do like that the comic sections are throughout. The beginning felt like it was sorta a cop-out, but it being reoocuring makes it feel much more integrated.
We'll see how I feel at the end.
edit: There were a couple songs that pulled it together, but like...I really wish they would have had less music, and made the music they had more developed. I also think if they get the sequel, that that will be far more interesting to me, because the Graverobber and Amber were the most interesting to me.
Also, Blind Mag at the end was suuuuuper Oura from Clover, oh man.
